La Gomera - White

Scattered small white houses in between

La Gomera is above all green. So if we don't pay attention to the sky and its clouds, the sea and its waves or the towns and their houses, Gomera is predominantly green. In any case, I have hardly ever taken greener or more green pictures anywhere else. After all, the famous laurel forest is one of the island's main attractions. However, I haven't photographed the laurel forest at all, or if I have, I haven't managed to take a picture that I liked. The laurel forest is difficult to photograph, as are the palm trees. It's difficult for me to take green pictures anyway. I spend most of my time photographing in cities, and although people like to claim that cities are greener than supposed, I rarely find green motifs there. I should travel to the Amazon one day, it promises to be a really successful green series - of the green lung, as they say. On La Gomera, the clouds in the sky, the sea spray and the houses in my photographs are mostly white.
