Difficult to find a higher concentration of beautiful places than in the south of Italy, in the kingdom of the Two Sicilies. You don't need a specific destination to discover some incredible places. The isolation of some sights in particular seems almost incomprehensible. ‘Lost places’ have become a popular subject here, probably as part of the discovery of Eastern Europe after reunification.
